FILM
I’ve been getting a number of mysterious downloads of my scripts without any follow-up, which makes me suspicious. Henceforth, if you want to read my work, email me with a brief explanation of who you are and why you’re interested and I’ll send along.

THE MYSTERIOUS DEATH OF MARY ROGERS
Edgar Allan Poe tries to salvage his career by solving the murder of a beautiful young woman in New York in the 1840s. Based on a real case that Poe wrote about, the script has a rich historical setting (similar to “Gangs of New York”) and features themes of sexual freedom, the perception of working women in society, the role of the press and the origins of investigative technique. Thrilling nonetheless. 130 pages. email me
PAST IMPERFECT
Investigative drama, based on a true story, about a Los Angeles assistant D.A. who has to solve a twenty-year-old murder case or lose her job. The criminal has reinvented himself as a loving father and successful professional: is society better served by punishing him for a crime he committed in another lifetime, or letting him play out his new, decent roles? The dilemma has echoes in the investigator’s past. email me
